We elevate Native visions and Native voices in all forms; combating ignorance, untruthful or stolen narratives, and the legacies of violence, exploitation, and erasure perpetuated by settler-colonialists against the Native peoples of this land.
Descendants of settler-colonialists are especially called upon to re-examine American history, including propaganda designed to deny intentional oppression and injustices. Native artists and authors have presented these truths for generations, often without being heard, viewed, or respected. Now is the time for recognition of honest histories and commitment to a more balanced future.
It is Native Now.
Native Now was founded in 2022 by intertribal Native American students, professors, and allies who know that art and visual culture is powerful. We collaborate with many Native and ally partners to develop exhibitions and events that highlight Native artists, designers, and creators. In all we do, we seek to elevate Native visions and voices, with a focus on the urban & suburban intertribal Native experience.
